2. Vehicle Servicing
Don’t ignore that engine light, or let your oil and wheel alignment go unchecked. Ensure your vehicle has been recently serviced and is in tip top condition to drive.
3. How’s your tyre tread looking?
Balding tyres are a serious hazards and can dramatically affect your brake time and road control. Low tread can also increase your risk of punctures - which can be tricky to deal with if caught out on remote roads with patchy cell phone reception.

4. Weather and road conditions
Always check the weather and road conditions before you drive - even in summer. Whether its a maintenance issue, road closure or crash - check your route and destination before you leave home.
5. Water, blankets, snacks, first aid
Stay prepared and keep your car stocked with a few emergency essentials incase you run into a situation while on the road. We recommend always keeping a few blankets, fresh water, snacks and first aid kit in the car.
6. Pack carefully
When loading up the car, put those Tetris skills to good use and make sure luggage won’t block your rear view, or move around and cause any harm while driving.
7. Fuel or charge up the car
Make sure you have plenty of fuel or charge in the car to reach your first stop or final destination. Detours can often pop up on the roads and can result in added kms to your journey - don’t be stressed with the fuel light on and be prepared.
